WATER BAPTISM & THE SCRIPTURES by  steve finnell

If you are a Christian or want to become a Christian are the Scriptures relevant to your salvation?

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;(NASB)

All Scripture comes from God, should we not believe what God says? Should we not question doctrines that God has not proclaim in the Bible?

Things about water baptism that God did not include in His Bible.

1. There is not one Scripture that says water baptism is not essential for salvation.

2. There is no Biblical reference that says men need to be baptized in water to wash away the sin of Adam.

3. There is no mention of Baptism in water to wash away original sin.

4. No Scriptures states that Baptizing unbelieving infants washes away Adam's sin nor all future sins.

5. No Scripture says men living under the new covenant can be saved without water baptism because the thief on the cross was not baptized.[Note: The thief lived and died under the old covenant]

6. There are no examples under the new covenant of men being saved without having been baptized in water.

7. No Scripture gives the purpose of water baptism as to demonstrate a person's  faith.

8. No verse of Scripture says water baptism is not essential to go to heaven, but is essential in order to join the denomination of your choice.

9. What is not found in the Bible is that water baptism is performed because your sins have already been forgiven.

10. There is no Scripture that says unbelievers are qualified for water baptism.

11. God does not say if a person dies before he has time to be baptized in water he will still be saved.

12. There is no Scripture that say baptized unbelieving infants are added to the body of Christ. [Note: Infants have no sins that need to be forgiven. Unforgiven sin is what causes men to be excluded from heaven]

If you cannot find a doctrine in the Bible, then, why would you believe it?
