RAMIFICATION OF TEACHING OR BELIEVING FALSE DOCTRINE by steve finnell

What are the ramifications of perverting the essential doctrines of God?

2 Timothy 2:16-18 But shun profane and vain babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. 17 And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort. 18 who have strayed concerning the truth, saying the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some. NKJV

False doctrine is a faith destroyer.  Yes, some Christians destroy the faith of others by teaching false doctrine.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. NKJV

If Christians assert that Jesus is just one of many ways to heaven and to be saved from the penalty of sin are they not denying the Lord?

Acts 15:1 And certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren, "Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved."NKJV Galatians 5:4 You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.NKJV

Teaching that salvation comes from keeping the laws of Moses can void the grace of God. Yes, Christians can fall from grace.

Galatians 1:6-8 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. NKJV)

If men teach that there are many Gods and you can become a god, is that not perverting God's word?[Abraham 4:5 And the Gods called the light Day, and darkness they called Night.....REF: Pearl of Great Price]

Deuteronomy 4:35 "To you it is shown, that you might know that the Lord Himself is God; there is none other besides Him. NKJV Ephesians 4:6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all. and in you all. NKJV

If a believer in Christ proclaims that Jesus said, baptism is not essential for salvation, would that not be a perversion of the gospel? [Mark 16:16 "He who believes and is baptized shall be saved...]

The gospel is not difficult to understand. FAITH: John 3:15-16--- REPENTANCE: Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19, Luke 24:47--- CONFESSION: Romans 10:9 Acts 8:37--- WATER IMMERSION (BAPTISM): Acts 2:38, Acts 2:41, Acts 22:16, John 3:5, Galatians 3:27 Romans 6:3-7, 1 Peter 3:21, Colossians 2:11-13, Ephesians 5:25-27, Acts 8:24-38
